At one point in life I assumed that everyone else was given a clear path to success, like a silver spoon in their mouth, except for me. I believed everyone had the benefits of a loving and stable environment—a blueprint for success and opportunities I believed I never had.
I felt like others were handed everything they needed to succeed, something I wasn’t given. But then I realized that I was blessed to be who I am. I was blessed with the mind I have, the resilience I’ve developed, and a curiosity that drove me to learn and grow.
I have a unique self-esteem and confidence, one that isn’t rooted in the same things as others.
We Know We’re All Different, But We Don’t Have to Like It
For a long time, I was trying to be like everyone else. I wanted my success to look like their success. Eventually I came to realize that true success doesn’t come from imitating others—it’s about embracing what makes us unique.
People find success in different ways and pursue it for different reasons. I learned that I was blessed with something truly incredible:
- a father with dreams
- a mother with standards
- high-achieving sisters, and a deep curiosity of my own.
- I was blessed with talents and skills.
- I’m a good dancer, a gifted writer, and a trained singer. I have an eye for design, a desire for luxury, and a passion for creativity.
All these gifts and talents were given to me for a reason, from the moment I was born. They make me who I am today—they make me incredible. They make me a star. Every detail of my birth—the day, the moment, the people, and the place—tells the story of a child destined for greatness.
All I have to do is remember that and keep remembering that.
As we grow older, it’s easy to forget that we were born with a divine purpose. We forget that all the forces that had to come together to bring us into this consciousness did so for a reason. If we have a dream, a passion, or any kind of desire, it’s up to us to bring it to life.
It’s not up to anyone else. But we have to remember that the power is within us. We have to recognize and appreciate the consciousness we’ve been given. Subsequently, we can use this to manifest, to make real, the desires that are in our hearts.
Your Ingredients Make the Recipe
The practice is to remember every day that;
- I am gifted.
- I am talented.
- I am smart.
- I am beautiful.
- I am interesting, curious, and kind.
I have so many gifts and talents, and I need to remember to appreciate what makes me special.
I need to appreciate what is unique about me.
When we realize that there is something special about us, something unique, ultimately we are on our way to immense success.
When we understand that what we know is valuable and has a place in the world, we realize that we have the power to make things happen. And yes, I talk about money because money is a tool.
When someone realizes they can wield that tool, they become unstoppable. I believe that recognizing our own worth is the first step toward success, and that’s something I remind myself of every day.
